Technical data of powder tubes

Color temperature : Data for whites. There is a constant relationship between the temperature of a heated body
and the composition of the light it emits. We know, for example, than a piece of iron heated to 800 °C is red ;
at 1000 °C yellow ; at 1500 °C (its melting temperature) blanc : the radiation emitted is all the richer
in blue radiation that the temperature is high.
Color Rendering Index (IRC) : Data for whites. It is a method describing the effect of lighting
on the actual color of an object. The higher this index, the better the color rendering. The max value. is 100.
Luminance : This is the amount of visible light leaving a point in a given direction. It is expressed in cd / m²
or nights.
Ex. : Sun on the horizon = 600 000 cd / m² – Clear sky = 8000 cd / m² – Overcast sky = 2000 cd / m²
X and Y coordinates : Each white and color can be set in the CIE color triangle 1931
by X and Y coordinates (see graphs below).
Powder Type : This defines the type and quality of fluorescent powders that coat the inside of the tubes.
These powders give the technical characteristics of whites and colors.
